The Apple woodcut series are based on a particular ancient and overgrown apple tree.

Amid the chaos of its branches, the interplay of sticks and sky, I find designs and metaphors of other natural systems, such as the cellular patterns that form our own bodies.

These pieces are printed on two layers of various Asian papers, laminated with encaustic medium to add dimension, translucency and luminosity.
